Terms of Use
Last updated: April 2026
These Terms of Use govern your access to and use of DriveMate ("the Service"). By using DriveMate, you agree to be bound by these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.
1. What DriveMate Does
DriveMate is a vehicle compliance platform that allows Nigerian vehicle owners to:
- Check the compliance status of their vehicles against official government databases (NIID, DVIS, AutoReg, PayVIS).
- Track vehicle document expiry dates and receive reminder notifications.
- Initiate the renewal of motor insurance, road worthiness certificates, and vehicle licences.
- Request physical delivery of completed documents (currently Lagos only).
2. Accuracy of Information
Compliance data is sourced in real time from official Nigerian government databases. While we make every effort to retrieve accurate information, DriveMate does not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or timeliness of data returned by these third-party sources.
DriveMate is not liable for errors, omissions, or delays in government databases, or for any action you take (or fail to take) based on the information displayed. If you believe a result is inaccurate, please verify directly with the relevant government authority.
3. Document Renewals
When you initiate a document renewal through DriveMate, we act as an agent facilitating the process with the relevant government authority. Processing times are estimates only:
- Standard processing: 1–2 business days.
- Weekends and public holidays may extend processing time.
- DriveMate is not liable for delays caused by government processing backlogs.
Soft copies of completed documents will be uploaded to your document vault and sent to your registered email address. For physical documents, request Lagos delivery at the time of renewal.
4. Payments
All payments are processed securely through Paystack. By completing a payment, you authorise DriveMate to charge the displayed amount for the selected services.
Renewal fees include government charges plus a DriveMate service fee. Prices are displayed in Nigerian Naira (₦) and are subject to change.
Refunds are issued at DriveMate's discretion where a renewal could not be processed due to a fault on our part. Refunds are not available once processing has commenced with the government authority.
5. Delivery Service
Physical document delivery is currently available within Lagos State only. Delivery is a separate service with a flat fee set by DriveMate. Delivery timelines depend on processing completion and courier availability. DriveMate is not liable for delivery delays beyond our reasonable control.
6. User Responsibilities
You agree to:
- Provide accurate information when using the Service, including correct vehicle plate numbers, contact details, and renewal authorisations.
- Only initiate renewals for vehicles you own or are expressly authorised to act for.
